Heather "The Heat" Hardy Boxing Workout & Technique Fundamentals

Get Motivated, Inspired and a Workout with the Champ.

Undefeated 20-0 (4 KO) Professional Boxer Heather "The Heat" Hardy received the WBC Belt in the first televised women's boxing match in almost 20 years. Hardy is a professional boxer from Brooklyn, NY and has been "fighting" to get women's boxing the visibility it deserves on national TV. Her efforts finally paid off on August 21, 2016 when Premier Boxing Champions and NBC Sports aired the fight, bringing women's boxing back with the crowd on their feet chanting "Hardy" through the entire program. The historical event occurred on the same day the USA received its 2nd consecutive Olympic Gold Medal ever in women's boxing, both won by the same woman. "This just means so much to women's boxing -- they can't ignore us anymore," said Heather Hardy.

Hardy currently holds two division WBC Champion Belts, Super Bantamweight and Featherweight. Heather was the first woman to be signed to a long term promotional contract to DiBella Entertainment, currently the biggest boxing promoter in NY. She is also the first woman to box professionally and be put on the card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and now the first to be televised on national television in almost two decades. In 2017 she was awarded the Golden Glove Award by Mayweather Productions for the work she's done diversifying the sports industry through her remarkable success as a female boxer and continuous achievements in the industry.

In 2017 she made her debut at Madison Square Garden as an MMA fighter with Bellator winning by TKO. A press favorite, she's quoted as saying "I think I just fell in love, I'm hooked" when asked what she thought about fighting in a cage.

She trains at the World Famous Gleason’s Gym located in Brooklyn, NY which has been home to many boxing champions over the years. Outside of training, she's a single mother and a personal boxing trainer working out of Shadowbox with celebrities and business professionals.

Rick Tucci - Jeet Kune Do (JKD) & Kali Workshop

ricktucci.jpg

Rick Tucci workshops are focused on helping you the martial art practitioner optimize your training and performance in the martial arts. I have spent countless hours studying privately with legendary instructors in the arts of JKD, Kali, Silat, Muay Thai and more, but also thousands of hours researching on my own the subject of efficiency and performance of the body during martial practice and combat.

In my travels over the years I have seen many good practitioners just stall or stagnate after a certain level of proficiency, not knowing how to improve, or if it is even possible for them to improve. My focus will be to help you truly integrate the art, science, and philosophies of the martial arts into a synergistic whole that will improve your performance and practice as well as your everyday life.

Open Workout Kickboxing Fitness - Maribel Police Unity Tour Fundraiser

Reserve your Space! This will be a great workout and experience. You will be helping a great cause.

There is a $20 suggested donation to attend the workout. Help Maribel reach washington, she will be participating in the Police Unity Tour with Chapter 1 for the 5th year. A $20 suggested donation will be accepted at the event.

Reserve your Space Here

The Police Unity Tour’s motto is: “We Ride for Those Who Died” and we raise awareness about America’s fallen officers.

Today in the United States, some 900,000 law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others. But that protection comes at a very high price.

A few sobering statistics:

Every 63 hours a peace officer is killed protecting our families and communities

Each year, there are over 15,725 assaults

More than 13,824 injuries on law enforcement officers

On average, 144 officers are killed in the line of duty each year

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial honors America’s fallen law enforcement heroes who have died in the line of duty. Their mission is to tell the story of America’s law enforcement officers and make it safer for those who serve.

My participation in the Police Unity Tour helps sponsor the Memorial and its programs like the Officer of the Month Award, Recently Fallen Alert notifications and other special projects.

With every dollar that I raise for the Police Unity Tour, I’m doing my part to honor our nation’s law enforcement officers. Please help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation!

Thank you for generous support!

Matthew Polly will be signing his books and discuss Bruce Lee’s journey as a martial artist.

Matthew Polly is the national bestselling author of American Shaolin, Tapped Out, and Bruce Lee a life.

Forty-five years after Bruce Lee’s sudden death at age thirty-two, journalist and bestselling author Matthew Polly has written the definitive account of Lee’s life. It’s also one of the only accounts; incredibly, there has never been an authoritative biography of Lee. Following a decade of research that included conducting more than one hundred interviews with Lee’s family, friends, business associates, and even the actress in whose bed Lee died, Polly has constructed a complex, humane portrait of the icon.

Polly explores Lee’s early years as a child star in Hong Kong cinema; his actor father’s struggles with opium addiction and how that turned Bruce into a troublemaking teenager who was kicked out of high school and eventually sent to America to shape up; his beginnings as a martial arts teacher, eventually becoming personal instructor to movie stars like James Coburn and Steve McQueen; his struggles as an Asian-American actor in Hollywood and frustration seeing role after role he auditioned for go to a white actors in eye makeup; his eventual triumph as a leading man; his challenges juggling a sky-rocketing career with his duties as a father and husband; and his shocking end that to this day is still shrouded in mystery.

A Princeton University graduate and Rhodes Scholar, he spent two years studying kung fu at the Shaolin Temple in Henan, China. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Esquire, Slate, Playboy, and The Nation. He is a fellow at Yale.
